We hade a problem with the sorting plugin for pages with ampersand in the menu title.

Fix:
in: /Composite/InstalledPackeges/CompositeC1Contrib.Sorting/SortPages.aspx

On line 81 use:
"HttpUtility.HtmlEncode(instance.GetLabel())"

Instead of:
"instance.GetLabel()"

Created Issue: Can't install UserControl Functions [8657]

1. Use a fresh install of Composite C1 3.2 (XSLT-based, for example).
2. Install the latest version of the UserControl Functions package (v. 1.4.2 as I write)

Expected: The package installs OK.
Actual: It fails to install with this YSOD:

Server Error in '/' Application.
Compilation Error
Description: An error occurred during the compilation of a resource required to service this request. Please review the following specific error details and modify your source code appropriately.

Compiler Error Message: CS0234: The type or namespace name 'FunctionProvider' does not exist in the namespace 'CompositeC1Contrib' (are you missing an assembly reference?)

1. Install a brand new v. 3.2 website (via WebMatrix is OK).
2. Select the "ASP.NET Master Pages" based website in the setup wizard.
3. When logged in to the C1 Console, install the package "Contribution.CompositeC1Contrib.RazorFunctions" (System / Packages / Available Packages)

Expected: The package installs OK.
Actual: The installation fails with the following error:

The package did not validate

Could not find install fragment type 'CompositeC1Contrib.PackageFragmentInstallers.TransformXmlPackageFragmentInstaller, CompositeC1Contrib.Core'

2. Edit the "How to edit this website" page and on the Settings tab, in the Description field, write "how".
3. Save the page.

4. Launch Tools (right) > SEO Assistant.
5. On the Keywords, type "how" and Save.
6. Preview the page to see the Results tab.

Expected: The "how" word has full coverage (6 of 6 categories - this is the behavior on the HTML/XSLT based sites)
Actual: Only 3 of 6 categories covered. The "how"s in the URL Title, Menu Title and Description fields are ignored.

Comments: im no fan of "magically appearing content and tags", so i would say it should be up to the template-designer to emit the necessary tags if they want them. What i could do is create a <rendering:seotags /> control the designer can put in their template that would then emit these tags when you're logged in.

Hello,

In C1 query "?dataScope=administrated" can be used to view unpublished page's content if you have logged in C1 console.

We encountered some problem with Nicer URLs and viewing unpublished content.
1) How to reproduce:
- Nicer URLs is enabled
- In C1 console -> edit some page content -> right click on the page node -> View unpublished -> page browser window will be opened and you will see the page with not published yet content - > try to navigate to other pages

Expected: you can navigate to other pages and see its unpublished content
Actual: you could not navigate to other pages as its links will be like this http://localhost/2columns?dataScope=administrated?datascope=administrated

I suppose that the solution is to disable Nicer URLs rewriting while you are working in C1 console or fix to have correct links?

2) Another issue is when I try to view http://localhost/2columns?dataScope=administrated (link is correct) I will see Published content, but expect to see Unpublished.

This should be fixed in the newest changeset.

Beware that i haven't included the compiled binaries in this commit. This is due to the obscure and often non-working branching functionality of SVN, and im in the middle of some other stuff that would break the binaries with the current release of C1 if i included them. Its very easy to compile you're self though, you just need the Composite.dll and Microsoft.Practices.EnterpriseLibrary.Validation.dll from the official C1 release and you're good to go.

Both of these issues were related to the same place in code... i have been able to reproduce, track down the sinner and fix it. Will check in hopefully later today.

In UrlFilterModule.cs we have the line

ctx.RewritePath(node.PageNode.Url, pathInfo.ToString(), query);

the problem here is that node.PageNode.Url returned from C1 already have the ?dataScope=administrated query appended when we're in administrated scope, and since im appending whatever query that is in the url as well, we end up with this double dataScope query.

How to reproduce:
1. Consider C1 site with multiple languages( e.g. English and Danish)
2. One of the languages(usually default language) can have empty "URL mapping name" property (for example, English).
Danish language has "URL mapping name" = de
So C1 URLs e.g. to the home page will be like this:
English: http://localhost/home.aspx
Danish: http://localhost/de/home.aspx

3. Enable NiceURLs

NiceURLs will not work correctly for English language. (but if English language also has "URL mapping name" , e.g 'en', then it works as expected)

In the latest commit i've made some changes to how i treat Url Mappings. Where i before made the assumption that 1 locale = no mapping, > 1 locale = mapping for each locale i know conservatively check for mapping for each locale, no matter how many locales are installed and act accordingly. I've tested with a site that has to locales but only one mapping and it works fine. Can you please confirm.

Well, its kinda by design since good SEO practice dictates that you should always indicate the language in the url, unless there is one and only one language. It should be easy to fix though, by making a check in CompositeC1SiteMapNode.cs line 55 whether the current language-mapping is empty or not.
